A Previous Engagement
Tessa Monroe has sacrificed a lot to become the new Assistant Vice President, including weekends, a social life, and learning how to cook. Her best friend Christian Douglas has been the main man in her life since kindergarten, but he's always had very different life goals for himself. While Tessa quests for her dream job, Christian searches for his dream girl. With a playground proposal, a fifth grade movie date, and one accidental steamy kiss in college, they've abandoned their hopes of romance. Things would get weird anyway, right? But when Tessa helps Christian find his perfect match, and things start getting serious, she isn't quite as excited as she thought she'd be. In fact, she's been having some very weird feelings about it. Is it possible that Tessa and Christian can rekindle a third-grade romance, or has that window just closed? NOW AVAILABLE |
WHAT READERS ARE SAYING...
"I love the author's clean and crisp writing style. She is witty without being pretentious about it and she kept me either laughing out loud or nodding my head in agreement. I think I highlighted something on nearly every page. The characters she developed could have been my own friends and the sexual tension between Tessa and Christian was so strong, I just couldn't wait to see how it would all play out!"
"It is a true romance, but it also highlighted well the conflict that many women face in finding a satisfying career and a lasting love and family life."
"Really fun quick read great beach book. You get sucked in waiting and hoping and thinking about what you want to happen."
